This year, something happened that has never happened before. A vote took place on LinkedIn declaring the People’s Choice Best Recruiter of 2018. Do you know who won? In this article, I am going to share a bit about National Recruiter Day, where you can find a list of great recruiters to work with, and who was voted the best recruiter of 2018. With all the wacky national holidays out there, national recruiter day seemed like a no-brainer. A lot of people have opinions about recruiters and it is not uncommon for them to be generalized. National Recruiter Day is about taking time to appreciate thegood recruitersthat have left a positive lasting impression. Here are some National Recruiter Day fun facts (facts being used very loosely): National Recruiter Day is recognized in over 15 countries including the USA, India, Brazil, UK, Canada, France, Italy and Mexico. National Recruiter Day is awesome and worthy of a day off (for recruiters only). Recruiters are ‘thanked’ 10x more on National Recruiter Day than any other day of the year. It is against the law to say anything negative about a recruiter on National Recruiter Day. What Recruiters Should Do Ask your boss for the day off! National Recruiter Day is one of the most important days in the recruiter world and should be taken off. Take time to research and evaluate all of the top recommended recruiters. Reach out to them. Ask them for advice. Learn from them. National Recruiter Day isn’t just about celebrating the great recruiters of the world. It’s about self-reflection and personal development. What Everyone Else Should Do Take time to appreciate the good recruiters that you have worked with. Type them a message on LinkedIn. Give them a call. Write them a letter. Send them a gift basket. Chances are, this recruiter helped land you in the job you are in today. The least you could do is tell them thanks. Here’s what you should not do on this very special day: National Recruiter Day is not the day to tell all the bad recruiters why they were bad.
